Call for Discussion Facilitators

The Colorism Project, Inc.

The Ronald E. Hall Conference on Colorism Committee is opening a Call for Discussion Facilitators. We are interested in receiving applications from colorism subject matter experts to facilitate deep dive discussions on the colorism topics noted in the figure below. The most intriguing conference sessions will be the “deep dive” discussion sessions where participants will hold lively, respectful and engaging discussions about specific colorism topics. Sessions will last approximately 90 minutes. Discussion session topics, dates and times are noted below.

 Facilitator Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all participant voices are heard, discussions are respectful, engaging, and offer the opportunity for shared perspectives.
  • Remain neutral, be articulate, confident and knowledgeable about the colorism deep dive topics.
  • Develop a discussion outline and include thought-provoking and open-ended questions.
  • Guide discussion sessions.
  • Encourage all attendees to participate.
  • Keep discussions moving forward in a meaningful manner.
  • Ensure a safe discussion environment.
